Local
Trips
Local trips are on alternating Saturdays and Sundays during the season, and are free for Plus members and $10 for Basic members. The choice of hill will be up to the Trip Coordinator, but will usually alternate between Blue Mountain, Mount St Louis and private resorts in the Collingwood area, depending on ski conditions and people's preferences. If you'd like to put in a request for a particular weekend, please e-mail the Trip Coordinator for that weekend. We will announce the choice of hill a week before each trip via e-mail. For more information on how local trips are organized, see the FAQ.

Mont Tremblant, Québec, February 6-7
Mont Tremblant
We have just heard that the organizers of Winterfest at Tremblant have postponed the event until 2011 as they want more time to plan it and possibly work with the organizers of Whistler WinterPride. Nevertheless, Tremblant is a one of the best ski and boarding destinations in Canada so we still be organizing a trip there.
The tour operator that quoted special prices for TGSC is still willing to offer the same deal for us. Please let us know if you are interested in participating as we only need 10 participants to get the group discount that was previously offered. We would like to firm this all up by December 31.
The trip will be leaving on Saturday morning (7.30am - on the slopes by 10.30 am) for 2 days of skiing and one evening of partying in the town of Tremblant, returning to Toronto on the 8pm flight Sunday evening.

- Round Trip Airfare Transportation (Toronto-Tremblant, Porter Airlines)

- $639 per person

*Please note that the above rate is for a double occupancy hotel room (2 double or queen bed pending availability or 1 king for couples).
Whistler, BC, March 1-8
WinterPride - Gay Whistler Ski Week
The annual Gay Ski Week is always an awesome event with over 4000 people attending from all over the world. Fabulous skiing and snowboarding, huge parties, smaller events and thousands of hot guys and girls. If you only go on one out of town trip this year, this should be the one. Everything you need to know about the event can be found at WinterPride.
There are so many ways to tailor your Gay Ski Week experience that a one size fits all TGSC trip package just doesn't work. Most members make their own flight arrangements, often using points. (Dating a flight attendant this time of year is also an excellent strategy). Some take an extra day in Vancouver before heading north to Whistler, but most people aim to be at the hill by the Sunday event start.
You should expect to spend approximately $1,500 to $2,000 excluding meals for the event. Much will depend on your airfare costs, how luxurious your chalet is, the number days you'll be staying, the number of days you'll be skiing/snowboarding and finally, how much you'll be spending on après ski, party and other event tickets.
The TGSC will be organizing chalets for members heading out and all kinds of tips to save money on your trip - lowest cost lift tickets, rentals and surface transportation among others. Please contact David at president@tgsc.ca if you are interested.
